“Rook, Engagement Watches and Super Links: Quantifying Adventist Culture”
Join us for an engaging presentation that will provide an in-depth look into the culture of Adventism — how it affects our daily choices, behavior and lifestyle.
Speaker Biography:
Aimee Leukert has been an educator in the Adventist school system for almost 20 years. She has taught at the elementary, academy and university levels and has also served as a principal in the Southern California Conference. Aimee is currently the associate director for the Center for Research on Adventist Education and an assistant professor at La Sierra University in the Curriculum & Instruction department. Aimee recently graduated with her Ph.D. in Education from Claremont Graduate University and has pursued research about parental religiosity, cultural identity, and faith-based education. Her work at La Sierra University allows her to continue sharing her passion for teaching while also maintaining a full speaking schedule in which she can engage with other stakeholders in conversations about Adventist Education.
Aimee and her husband Kristian, a teacher at Loma Linda Academy, live in Loma Linda with their four children.
