1. The local Pathfinder Club won the float competition and a $1,500 prize in Saipan’s annual Liberation Day parade, with its float called “Go Green for God: The Creator’s Call to Conservation.”
2. In New Zealand, eight-year-old Zian Niuwoudt won $1,000 in book vouchers for himself and his school, the New Plymouth Seventh-day Adventist School, in the New Zealand Post Children’s Book Awards competition.
3. The government of Ghana this week said it is considering a $400,000 grant to ADRA to help it empower small and medium business enterprises and boost employment.
