Give Adventist Graduate Students More Data
What happens when a group of Adventist graduate students in the sciences get together and discuss the hot-button issues affecting our church? We cry out for more data!
At the root of the big controversies in the Seventh-day Adventist Church seems to be divergent understandings of Seventh-day Adventist identity. What does it mean to be a Seventh-day Adventist and who gets to decide? It is easy to assume that most Adventists think like I do, but do they really? To try to find out how other Adventists think about Adventist identity my graduate student friends and I wrote a short online survey. We are trying to share it with as many people as we can.
You should think of this survey as you would those polls you see on 24-hour news networks like CNN or Fox News. We wish to emphasize that it is not scientific–but hopefully still enlightening!
