Leon Roman: “In the Footsteps of Apostle Paul: A Tour of the Seven Churches of Revelation” at CZSS

(9:30 a.m. Pacific / 11:30 a.m. central / 12:30 p.m. eastern)

Leon Roman will present "In the Footsteps of Apostle Paul: A Tour of the Seven Churches of Revelation" for the Choir Zoom Sabbath School at Pacific Union College on Saturday, June 10.

He will present a reflection on the beginning of Christianity, from a Judean sect formed by the followers of Jesus to what became Christianity. The most prominent representative and follower of Christ is Paul the Apostle, probably the most influential in the formation of Christianity after Jesus. After visiting the historical places and remnants of the first seven churches established, Roman will reflect on the process of rooting Jesus's message, faith, and role as they were translated by his followers (especially Paul) in a totally new cultural context.

Roman is currently the director of the Mission and Spiritual Care Department at Adventist Health Saint Helena Hospital and an adjunct professor in the Pacific Union College Nursing Department. He was born in Romania into an Adventist family, graduated from the Romanian Theological Institute, and has worked as a pastor, as a conference director for youth, family life, and education, and as a health care chaplain.
