Faith and Reason Sabbath School June 15 with theologian N.T. Wright

Faith and Reason Sabbath School meets Sabbath, June 15,  10:00 AM.  Socializing starts at 9:30 AM.

This Sabbath we respond to a question that theologian N.T. Wright asks students and pastors:  “If you could take one chapter of the Bible with you to a desert island, which would it be?” Share your chapter choices with us this Sabbath,  and, if you’d like, also take a moment or two to tell us why. I’ve already “field tested” this with more than a dozen of you and so far no repeat answers.  We’re a diverse group!

A couple of you have said the question is more challenging than you first thought, not like your typical Pathfinder Bible quiz. There are no right answers, only interesting ones, and 1,189 chapters to choose from.  We’ll keep track, but we won’t keep score.  I’m sure N.T. Wright agrees that there are more important life questions than this, but aren’t you just a little bit curious about the shape of the canon inside the canon that the wisdom of our Faith and Reason crowd creates this Sabbath?
