Faith and Reason Sabbath School Aug. 17: Membership Survey Results
The Faith and Reason Sabbath School meets this Saturday, August 17, at 10:00 AM, Eastern. This Sabbath, Duane McBride, the lead researcher for the Adventist Membership Survey, joins the group for “the big reveal” of the 123 class responses to the same survey.
How is our Sabbath School class similar—or different—from Global Adventism, especially the North American Division? Duane is Senior Research Professor at Andrews University and Director of the Institute for Prevention of Addictions. He is a lifelong friend who loves data, so was fortunate enough to be born in the twentieth century. His presentation in May on the results from the global church survey (250,000 participants) was so interesting we decided to take the same survey as a class. Thanks to Elizabeth Tomenko for formatting the survey so we could take it online.
