Faith and Reason Aug. 24: “Writing from the Borders of Adventism” – Trudy J. Morgan-Cole
The Faith and Reason Sabbath School meets this Saturday, August 24, at 10:00 AM, Eastern. Socializing starts at 9:30. This Sabbath, author Trudy J. Morgan-Cole is interviewed by Bonnie Dwyer in the fourth and last of our summer series,“Writing from the Borders of Adventism.”
Trudy writes mostly historical fiction set in Newfoundland. She has also written several books of inspirational fiction, many of which are re-imaginings of Bible stories. These include Esther: A Story of Courage, James: The Brother of Jesus, and Lydia: A Story of Philippi.
She describes herself as “a Christian who loves Jesus, but finds some of his followers scary and a Seventh-day Adventist who doubts, questions, and loves my church passionately.”
Homework? Here’s a great piece by Trudy on her time writing for the denominational press: https://spectrummagazine.org/culture/books-film/seasons-watching-leaves-change-in-adventist-publishing-and-my-writing-career/
