CZSS April 27: “My Story—People, Place, and Conservation”

The Choir Zoom Sabbath School meets this Saturday, April 27, at 9:30 A.M., PST. Robert Ford will present “My Story—People, Place, and Conservation.” His presentation will focus specifically about my global work as a geographer focusing on what the National Geographic Society calls “geotourism,” linked with other work I’ve done following trends set by the International League of Conservation Photographers.

Dr. Ford is a PUC alum with over 45 years’ experience as a geotourism photographer, professor, administrator, field researcher, development consultant, and conservation scientist. He is fluent in Spanish and French besides English and has Master’s degrees in public health and anthropology and a Ph.D in Earth Science/Physical Geography focusing on land conservation, agro-ecosystems, food security and sustainability. He has also worked for and consulted with non-governmental and governmental entities including USAID, USDA, ADRA, World Vision, UAE, the Dian Fossey Gorilla fund International, and the Frankfurt Zoological Society.
