Chris Blake: “Introducing JustLove Collective: A Collaboration of Adventist Activists” at Faith & Reason Sabbath School

(10:00 a.m. eastern / 9:00 a.m. central / 7:00 a.m. Pacific)

This Sabbath, Chris Blake presents “Introducing JustLove Collective: A Collaboration of Adventist Activists.

What if Adventists who revere doing justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with God united from around the globe to provide a gathering space that is fresh, honest, and supportive? JustLove is a blend of justice and love. Instead of everyone working separately in our silos, Adventists collaborate to engage in practical ways with congregational communities. Seasoned with realistic hope and defiant optimism—intercultural and intergenerational—in the spirit of present truth, JustLove Collective asks, “Where might God be leading?”

Chris has recently re-retired from serving as the lead pastor for the San Luis Obispo church. After a career in journalism, including editing Insight for many years, he had a second twenty-five year career as a prolific author and member of the humanities faculty at Union College. He and Yolanda continue to live in San Luis Osbispo.

Faith and Reason Sabbath School meets Sabbath, October 14, 10:00 am. Socializing starts at 9:30.
