Choir Zoom Sabbath School at Pacific Union College
"Attentiveness is the natural prayer of the soul," wrote Malebranche. Close observation and love for language are essential to a writer's work if the writer hopes to create sympathetic responses in others. In this Sabbath School, young writers will join Dan Lamberton, emeritus professor of English, to present and discuss their work and to hear responses and ideas from the class.
Dan is an emeritus professor of English at Walla Walla University. For many years he has served as a board member for Humanities Washington and frequently speaks on the topic of Pacific Northwest poets for the Washington State Speakers Bureau. He has also served on the Washington State Poet Laureate committee and as a visiting lecturer in literary history for the University of Washington’s History Department. He holds an MFA in English from the University of Washington. Publications include the book On the River Through the Valley of Fire, a meditation on artistic collaboration.
