Church Releases Statement Regarding Suspected Terrorist Attack on Adventist Church in Pakistan

On Sunday evening, April 15, suspected terrorists opened fire in front of the Quetta Seventh-day Adventist Church in Pakistan, killing two and injuring eight. One of those killed was the 18-year old son of an Adventist church member. The leaders of the major political parties have condemned this brutal attack, for which the Islamic State (ISIS) has now claimed responsibility.

Philippine Judiciary Rules in Favor of Adventist Student

A court in the Philippines ruled in favor of Denmark Valmores, who filed a case against Mindanao State University-College of Medicine (MSU-COM), Dean Cristina Achacoso, and faculty member Dr. Giovannie Cabildo.

Southern Asia-Pacific Division President Leonard Asoy Succumbs to Rare Bone Marrow Disease

The Adventist News Network has reported that Leonard Asoy, 56, the recently-elected president of the Southern Asia-Pacific Division of Seventh-day Adventists, has passed away. The ANN report follows in full:
