Welcome – virtually – to the 2008 Adventist Forum Conference beginning this evening near Orlando, Florida. The topic is Christians in the Public Square. For a full look at the weekend agenda click here. Since most people who visit our website will obviously not be able to be with us we hope our web coverage here will be the next best thing (short of video streaming – not this year, but maybe next year).
We will be covering the conference session by session. There will be articles and pictures, perhaps even some audio. Our keynote speaker this evening is Joel Hunter and tomorrow features Barry Lynn. We hope you can follow the conference with us here.
Also, Adventism Forum has received a matching, challenge grant of $5000. What this means is that, during the conference, any money donated to Spectrum/AF will be doubled – up to a $5000 total. Some contributions will certainly come from those here in Florida attending the conference. However, this matching has been extended to our web participants. Click on the Donate button to make a contribution and – during this weekend, starting now – those donations will be doubled. Shortly we will have a running total posted here on the main page for you to watch the progress.
We hope you can follow our coverage and will enjoy the articles posted. We wish you were here. No hurricanes, lots of sunshine and 75 degree weather, great people and conversation!
