Adventist adventurer and USC political science pedant, Ron Osborn writes
: "My younger sister, Kim, spent 2005 as an intern with a humanitarian NGO, ADRA International,
in Guinea, West Africa.
Early on in her internship, she visited La
Surete, Guinea's largest prison in the capital of Conakry, and was so
challenged by what she saw there that she ended up returning to the
prison repeatedly to document its conditions, both in writing and on
film. . . .
Ironically, the 'justice system' in Guinea is so corrupt, inefficient,
and oppressive that falling under the 'law' is to become the victim of
a crime."
