Three Angles News – Loma Linda To Premiere National TV Show

1. Life on the Line, Loma Linda University Health’s first national TV show, premieres on PBS’s WORLD Channel on April 4, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. ET/PT.  It documents the lives of people whose challenging circumstances required courageous actions. Narrated by celebrity host and journalist, Lisa Ling, the series presents six half-hour episodes.

2. Orthopedic surgeon, Frank Jobe, an alumnus of both La Sierra University and Loma Linda University, died March 6.  His is renowned for pioneering restorative elbow surgery named for its first recipient, baseball pitcher Tommy John.

3. Angus T. Jones, star of the Two and a Half Men sitcom, continues to criticize the show.  Identified in news stories as a follower of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, he told congregants at the World Harvest Outreach Church in Houston that he cannot support the show’s content.
