All too often folks outside of the academy have a characterature of how scientists treat religion. Here are two widely published researchers who provide a very interesting exploration of how community and belief, evolution and the mind interact. Michael Murray has a Ph.D. from Notre Dame, teaches at Franklin & Marshall College and works with the Templeton Foundation. Paul Bloom studies our common-sense understanding of ourselves at Yale University.
