Is ‘Progress’ the Future? Some Demographic Trends
It seems to me that these demographic trends will impact more than just the political world. To debate that effectively, we probably need Monte Sahlin’s astute commentary for a more substantive application to Adventism.
That said, I think that there are some obvious trends outlined in this four minute video that will affect the future of the Seventh-day Adventist community in the U.S. The reduction of the influence of the more conservative “white working class”, the social justice concerns of new millennials, the shifts in ethnic majorities already seem to be changing the landscape in education, theology, and perhaps even church membership.
