Spectrum Liturgy

Happy Sabbath!

I've been in seven airports in the last five days so I didn't get a chance to create this liturgy in time for Sabbath. I spent a few days at the Sun Valley Spiritual Film Festival in Idaho and so the theme this week is inspired by some of the films and talks I heard, particularly Dr. Rachel Naomi Remen, who delivers our homily.

This week's liturgy comes from some personal reflections on content and conversations this week. Of course Des Ford, the atonement and investigative judgment has dominated the comment section.

I'm back from a great unplugged vacation in Oaxaca. I owe a big thanks to the Spectrum team and all of you readers and commenters for making this site rock.

Happy Sabbath! Welcome to the Spectrum Blog Liturgy, something I created as an excuse to combine some good music with Adventism's ultimate concerns. If you do stay for the service below, feel free to drop a comment about your week and what's on your mind.

The beginning of Advent. The service today centers on the the apocalypse and how humanity confronts our always, already present end.
