Ignition! Donor Lights a Big Match

match-lighting-matches

It just became easier for you to help us close the remaining $32,000 gap for us to raise $250,000 for this year’s annual fundraising campaign.

Wishing to inspire more financial support for Spectrum, a longtime supporter has pledged to match up to 10 contributions of $1000 each made by June 30. This creates the possibility for us to receive a surge of $20,000 from this match challenge. Do you like doubling your money or return?  Here’s the perfect chance.

But don’t let the terms of this specific challenge keep you from making a larger or smaller gift to help us reach our goal. Every contribution is treasured, and every donor is a blessing. Whenever we reach a $1,000 contribution it triggers a $1,000 match from our supporter. To date, 250 people have supported the Global Community Campaign with a donation. It would be wonderful to have another 50 or more join us.

Here is an excerpt from one of our blog commenters last week:

“Where else can we chat together with a former Norwegian publishing house executive …., university professors, farmers, carpenters, a gay pastor, a child psychiatrist in Pennsylvania, a South American seminary-trained pastor-turned-psychologist in California, a friend of David Koresh …,, seminary students, a Texas-educated attorney in California, organist from Georgia,… former Loma Linda and Southern board member, pastor’s wife and mom of a gay son, Australian ex-Adventist…, builder of swanky homes in Atlanta, filmmakers, artists, students, journalists, authors, art professors, health care professionals, housewives, and so many other fascinating voices? Where else could we learn to cook avocado pie for Sabbath potluck?

Help us keep the conversations going!
