house

1. Dr. Kenneth L. Shaw, dean of the Panama City Campus of Florida State University, has accepted the presidency of Southwestern Adventist University on July 1, following the retirement of Eric Anderson.  He had not sought the job, but after visiting the campus, he embraced the university and is eager to begin a strategic plan to enhance its programs.

2. Phil Vecchiarelli, pastor at Holbrook Seventh-day Adventist Indian School in Arizona, prayed that God would lead him to the right home needing repairs for his church’s yearly service project. The home he was led to was upgraded by volunteers, including students from the Holbrook Indian School and Thunderbird Christian Elementary School.

3. Elizabeth Talbot, the Speaker/Director for the Jesus101 Biblical Institute, a media ministry of the North American Division, has created a daily one-minute podcast titled “Plug into Life,” which now has 60,000 subscribers.  Available for streaming on iTunes, each free podcast focuses on Christ and the study of the Bible.
