Three Angles News – Mission Pilot Dies in Plane Crash
1. Long-serving mission pilot Bob Roberts died when his plane crashed shortly after takeoff in Papua Province, Indonesia, on April 9. One passenger, Danis Kobak, also died, but five other passengers survived.
2. Loma Linda marathoner Warren Johns recalls his experience at the Boston Marathon last year. While he was not injured, he observed the tragedy, having crossed the finish line two minutes before the explosions.
3. Thad Mosely, a Loma Linda florist, has spent 10 years nurturing four Devil’s Tongue plants to maturity. The very rare putrid-smelling blooms are not known to bloom outside Indonesia. Mosely will not be using the flowers in his arrangements for Loma Linda University Church services.
