Southern Marks 13th Year of Enrollment Growth

The Chattanoogan reports:

For the ninth consecutive year, Southern Adventist University’s enrollment numbers increased at fall registration. Southern opened its doors to 2,777 students for the 2008-2009 academic year 137 students more than Fall, 2007. This marks Southern’s 13th successive year of continuous growth.

Southern’s uninterrupted growth can be seen not only in increased enrollment but also in the expanding of its campus facilities including the new Hulsey Wellness Center, scheduled to open in October and Florida Hospital Hall, the new nursing building that will accommodate Southern’s quickly expanding nursing program.

“Enrollment has increased over the past decade by more than 1,000 students, allowing the university to expand its curriculum, its facilities, and its faculty and staff,” said Ms. Sauder. “Students are choosing Southern because of our high quality living-learning environment.”
