Florida Hospital College to Become Adventist University of Health Sciences

In August later this year, Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences will officially become Adventist University of Health Sciences.

Its Board of Trustees voted the new name this week in conjunction with the recent ground breaking on a new 90,000 square foot building to house its new graduate degree programs: Master of Healthcare Administration, Physician Assistant, Doctorate of Nurse Anesthesia Practice, and Physical Therapy. Established in 1992, the school currently reports about 2,600 students and about sixty full time faculty. In an official statement, president David Greenlaw, D.Min., said,

We feel that the name Adventist University of Health Sciences is representative of the College’s continued growth while still preserving our past. Our new name doesn’t change who we are, it simply better defines us.
