Media Essay: Adventists on Ending Violence Against Women

One of the major emphases at the General Conference Session has been celebrating the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s End It Now global campaign to end violence against women and girls. Pastor Ivan Williams talks with people at the GC Session in Atlanta about why this is important. The initial phase of enditnow aims to collect 1 million signatures from people across the world who want to see an end to violence against women and girls. This campaign, which extends to more than 200 countries and territories, was launched in October 2009 in partnership between the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA)-a prominent humanitarian organization-and the Department of Women’s Ministries of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, two entities that are representative of the Adventist Church.
