Remembering Nicholas Culver in Images

Freshman general studies major Nicholas Culver was found unresponsive in Sierra Towers, the men's dormitory on the campus of La Sierra University, on Tuesday, December 8. Paramedics were called, but were unable to revive him. On Tuesday evening, La Sierra University stopped amid finals week to remember Culver in a time of prayer and story sharing.

La Sierra University President Randal Wisbey called Culver a great gift Tuesday evening during a service in Hole Memorial Auditorium.

Culver's girlfriend recounted the first time she met Culver.


Zeke Pakpahan remembered how Culver helped him during a time of need.


La Sierra University Golden Eagles basketball coach remembering Culver's smiles and positive attitude.


Campus leaders shared the 23rd Psalm, and prayed.


Dean of Men Obed Olivarria shared memories and offered a closing prayer.


Students wrote messages to Culver's mother and father.
