Call to Worship :: Ancients, by Nicholas Buer
This film follows the ancient cycle of sunset, to night, to sunrise. A continuous loop of perpetual movement that has been unbroken since the dawn of time, and the only true constant in our lives.

Meditation :: Projections in the Forest, by Friedrich van Schoor and Tarek Mawad
The artists spent six weeks in the forest fascinated by the silence and natural occurrences in nature, especially the phenomenon of “bioluminescence.” By projecting carefully-crafted light drawings onto natural elements, they acheived a dreamlike, photoluminescent fusion of nature and technology.

Children’s Story :: Borrowed Light, by Olivia Huynh
The last caretaker of an abandoned observatory takes on an almost-impossible task to show the surrounding city something incredible. A short animation about conflicting existences, natural wonders, and petty theft on a grand scale.

Special Music :: Bach: The Well Tempered Clavier for Sinfini Music, by Alan Warburton
In 1722, Johann Sebastian Bach began one of his most ambitious works: a 24-part comprehensive guide to the keyboard, demonstrating the musical qualities of every major and minor key. The first part, C Major, saw Bach create two masterful compositions that explore musical structure in very different ways. This film draws inspiration from minimalist sculpture and graphical notation, an alternative to traditional sheet music notation that evolved in the 1950s and often involves abstract symbols and experimental visual codes.

Spoken Word :: Soo Sunny Park: Unwoven Light, by Angela and Mark Walley
Soo Sunny Park’s installation Unwoven Light animates Rice Gallery’s expansive space, transforming it into a shimmering world of light, shadow, and brilliant color. Suspended from the walls and ceiling, thirty-seven individually sculpted units are arranged as a graceful, twisting flow of abstract form. The artist discusses creating an imaginative space, one that turns the otherwordly into a physical reality. In an alternate universe, she could just as easily be be describing the church.
